The training facilities of Luton Town Football Club are scheduled to undergo additional upgrades soon.

Complete proposals for new welfare facilities on land beside Barnfield youth South, off Cutenhoe Road, that would serve the club’s youth players were presented by the Hatters.

The project being undertaken by the Championship team aims to enhance the sporting facilities by adding parking, a pathway, and other features. Situated in a corner of the Avenue Centre for Education (ACE) playing fields is the one-acre plot.

“This previously agreed scheme has now lapsed, but this outline application included changing facilities in the dome structure,” the study stated. “Instead, those will be included in the existing proposals.

It gives neighborhood schools more latitude in using the interior space. These initiatives will provide essential facilities for the wellbeing of players. In June, the club adopted a revised project for the dome.

“Park Street will serve as the entry point, and staff and cars bringing academy players to and from the location can park.”
