Celtic hailed for disabled fans access as Uefa-backed campaigners insist Parkhead club are ‘inspiration to others’.

According to an AccessibAll representative, the Hoops are the benchmark for stadium accessibility for patrons with disabilities.

Celtic has received praise for their dedication to providing disabled supporters with access to the club’s stadium.

Following a visit to Glasgow, AccessibAll, a group supported by FIFA that advocates for increased accessibility and inclusion in sport, gave Celtic Park high marks. The group praised Scotland’s winners for their ongoing initiatives to improve the matchday experience for all fans and declared that they served as an example for other members of the football community.A meeting between Amy Wilson and Hollie Wilson from Accessiball was attended by representatives from the Hoops, including John Paul Taylor, the club supporter engagement officer, and Alexis Dobbin, the disability access officer for Celtic.

“Celtic’s efforts not only set a standard but also inspire other clubs to follow suit,” an AccessibAll official stated. Celtic is a team that has continuously demonstrated an unshakeable commitment to helping its disabled supporters. We express our gratitude to Celtic for their gracious invitation and hospitality. We also express our gratitude to them for their ongoing support of AccessibAll and all of our initiatives, such as the Week of Action that we have every year.

From the grassroots to the boardrooms, the week of action campaign aims to ensure that disabled people can take their rightful places among their peers in sport as spectators, players, coaches, administrators, volunteers, and decision makers. It is the largest annual event of its kind.

Alexis Dobbin thinks that the secret to a future that is inclusive is an ongoing conversation with supporters.

“Keeping in touch with our disabled supporters is essential to ensuring that matchdays at Celtic Park are a fun, secure, and welcoming environment for everyone,” the speaker stated. Events such as this one help us as a team and provide supporters a chance to speak with various club employees face-to-face. Communication between the two is crucial, and we will keep doing so in the future.
