‘Burnley are serious’ – Clarets in direct contact to sign player, working on reaching agreement

Burnley are keen on signing Wycombe Wanderers’ Daniel Udoh in the summer window.

That’s according to Africa Foot, and they state Burnley have been monitoring the 28-year-old’s displays for Wycombe Wanderers throughout this season.

The forward has scored eight goals and registered two assists from 38 games for the League One side. His performances have convinced the Clarets to bet on him for next season.

Burnley’s plan is to reach an agreement with Wycombe Wanderers and let him finish the season with them.

A source close to the agency representing the Nigerian has told Africa Foot that Burnley want to offer £850,000 to Wycombe Wanderers. The same source has added the agency is in contact with the two clubs over the operation involving the attacker.

Burnley are third in the Championship table while Wycombe Wanderers are second in League One. The latter want Udoh to help them secure promotion to the second division.

“We are in direct contact with Burnley as well as Wycombe for an agreement regarding Dominic. Wycombe have been receptive but remain cautious of the distractions around him as they believe he is focused on helping the team achieve promotion,” a source told Africa Foot.

“Burnley are serious and are offering an initial bid of £850,000, which is tempting for Wycombe. It’s still too early to say what will happen, but all parties are in contact, that’s for sure.”

Udoh joined Wycombe Wanderers from Shrewsbury Town in July 2024 and has a contract until 2027.
