“I’ve got no doubt” – Bradford City chief makes exciting prediction about Birmingham City starlet’s future

Brandon Khela, who is on loan from Birmingham City, has received a lot of praise from Bradford City manager Graham Alexander, who believes the young player will go on to greater and better things.

During the January transfer window, Khela came to Bradford for his first real experience of EFL football, joining Valley Parade on loan until the end of the season.

The midfielder, who was born in Coventry, had two cameos off the bench in League One this season and made one appearance for Birmingham in the Championship last year.

In the January transfer window, it was agreed that Khela would end the season on loan after having a supporting role under Chris Davies throughout the first half of Birmingham City’s League One campaign.

With a swift move, Bradford City added the then-teenager to their roster for the remainder of the 2024–2025 season.

Khela, who is currently 20 years old, has made four appearances for the Bantams and was good enough to start for Bradford in League Two for the first time last time.

Because of Khela’s impressive performances for Bradford, Bantams manager Alexander has praised the young player.

Khela’s attitude toward frequently being benched was also highlighted by Bradford’s boss, who thought the Birmingham loanee used the setback as motivation for training.

“Brandon is a really good player who will do good things in his career and we’re delighted to have him,” Alexander told the Telegraph and Argus.

He has done a great job of controlling his anger and his actions. We are thrilled to have him here at this time, and I have no reservations about his future professional path.

“Given how he’s been and how he performed on Saturday, I had no hesitations about starting him in what I anticipated would be a difficult game.

“He’s another good player to be able to call upon, but he’s had to be patient.”
