Orlando Pirates have earned R22 million so far this season.

Orlando Pirates would have won at least R32 million this season if they were to win the MTN8 next month. However, R100m is in play.

Orlando Pirates, who have already collected R22 million, are a squad to keep an eye on this season.

The Buccaneers kicked off their season in early August and have already played nine matches in all competitions. With their group stage qualification in the CAF Champions League, the Soweto giants have secured at least R22 million for this season.

When they play Stellenbosch in the MTN8 final the following month, they will also have an opportunity to boost their profits. In just two months, Jose Riveiro’s team might increase their prize money to R32 million if they win.

This season, Orlando Pirates might earn over R100 million.

Orlando Pirates, who are participating in the CAF CL for the first time since 2019, stand to win over R72 million should they prevail.

The CAF has declared that all participating teams will receive a minimum of R900,000, and that the victor of the competition will receive R72 million.

The CAF announced on their website that “the [teams] participating in the Preliminary Stages of the Caf Champions League and Caf Confederation Cup will receive USD 50000 (Approximately R900,0000) each, in line with the Caf President Dr. Patrice Motsepe’s promise to enhance club competitions and provide more financial assistance to clubs.”

The Orlando Pirates stand to gain a total of R72 million if they sign the second star. Half that cash will go to the competition’s runner-up. Quarterfinalists will receive R16 million in prize money, and semi-finalists will receive R21 million.

This season, the Buccaneers are also participating in the MTN8, Betway Premiership, CAF CL, and Carling Knockout. They would get almost R110 million if they were to win every competition.
