AFC Fylde lost 1–1 at Woking, despite Nick Haughton’s goal.
Lewis Walker’s header canceled out Nick Haughton’s screamer, leaving the Coasters with a point.
The first chance for Fylde came in the 15th minute, when a cross from Bryce Hosannah found Danny Ormerod in the area, but a deflection sent the header beyond, maintaining the score level.
In the 20th minute, Lewis Walker came on as a substitution for Harry Beautyman, who had been injured during a Woking wide attack.
Pressure over the following five minutes resulted in an opportunity from Gavin Massey that forced a good, low save from the Woking goalkeeper, who dominated the first 45 minutes of play.
The Coasters quickly got back on track in the second half, winning a free kick well outside the area within the first few minutes.
Nick Haughton sent the free kick short to Joe Riley, who set it up nicely for the Fylde number ten to alter angles and curl in the opener.
Fylde continued to apply pressure, with Gavin Massey bending an attempt that hit the inside of the post but missed to double the Coasters’ slim advantage.
However, Woking equalised soon after the hour mark when Lewis Walker headed home for a corner.
Fylde continued to press for a winner, with replacement Offrande Zanzala coming close, but the game ended in a disappointing draw.
The Coasters’ next match is against Tamworth at Mill Farm on Tuesday evening.
