Coach Sundowns speaks forth about the Pirates’ run in the CAFCL.

Orlando Pirates FC and Mamelodi Sundowns FC will both be participating in the CAF Champions League this year!

Manqoba Mngqithi, the head coach of Mamelodi Sundowns, has praised Orlando Pirates on qualifying for the CAF Champions League.

For the first time since 2018, the Buccaneers are back in the group stages of Africa’s top club championship.

This comes after Jose Riveiro’s team defeated Jwaneng Galaxy with ease in the last qualifying round, winning 3-0 overall.

Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, a frequent participant in the CAF Champions League, will join Orlando Pirates.

Manqoba Mngqithi, the head coach of Downs, has now shared his thoughts on the Buccaneers’ victory. See what he said by scrolling down.

Orlando Pirates’ group stage appearance pleases Sundowns coach

“Let me start by congratulating the Orlando Pirates. According to IDiski Times, Mngqithi stated, “It’s very good for a team like Pirates to be in the group stages and for South Africa to have two teams in the Champions League group stages.”

“A South African team can then start to optimize their chances of winning the Champions League, and it would be great if both teams could advance to the quarterfinals.”

It would be good to reach that level. “Once we are there, anything is possible, and it will be nice if we don’t win and it is won by Pirates, or if Pirates does not win, we win it just like Zamalek SC has been doing with Al Ahly for the longest time in Champions League.”

In other news, Manqoba Mngqithi, the head coach of Mamelodi Sundowns, thinks there are no place for justifications at Chloorkop.
Manqoba thinks there’s no tolerance for excuses.

“Depth and quality are the reality. Those are the first and second places.

I believe it’s because of the club’s intense work ethic. We have access to all the information on every club we play against and everything we should be given,” the Mamelodi Sundowns mentor told Citizen.

Take a look at the games we’ve played, even against the formidable Stellenbosch FC. Considering how many opportunities we generated, the question of why we aren’t converting them could be more pressing. You aren’t scoring high enough, thus that need to be our primary goal during training.

“There is no space for justifications. Everything we could ever want is here. The only thing left to do as a coach is to strive to win games once you have everything you could possibly want. Additionally, we’ll work to increase the number of scoring opportunities.
