
Crash in Newmarket Road, Bury St Edmunds, at junction with Western Way, sees cyclist taken to hospital
A cyclist was rushed to hospital after an accident involving a car in Bury St Edmunds.
Police were summoned by the ambulance service at 1.45pm to the incident in Newmarket Road near the junction with Western Way.
The road was blocked.
A police official said the rider was brought to hospital with minor injuries.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said an ambulance, a paramedic car and the BASICS car were rushed to the scene.
One girl was sent to West Suffolk Hospital for additional assessment and care, they said.
