The real reason why Danilo is missing from Nottingham Forest squad to face Newcastle United.

Nottingham Forest got off to a great start against Newcastle United, with Callum Hudson-Odoi scoring the opening goal.

However, two goals in two and a half minutes from Lewis Miley and Jacob Murphy brought the game full circle, with Alexander Isak scoring twice to give the Magpies a commanding half-time advantage. Forest will aim to come out on top in the second half, but in truth, all Nuno Espirito Santo has to play for is a sense of pride, and attention will quickly shift to Wednesday’s trip to Arsenal. Forest were truly dreadful in the first half of Newcastle After gaining the lead, this was absolute capitulation from the Forest’s perspective, and Espirito Santo will not be satisfied with that. Danilo was perhaps missed by the Reds, with his flair a glaring omission from the middle of the park and no one capable of putting a foot on the ball. The youngster is certainly being attentively supervised. With the Reds’ upcoming demanding schedule, there is no need to constantly rush him. Danilo will play a key role between now and the end of the season, and he was badly missed in the first half at St James Park.
