In golf history, what is the luckiest break? At the 1992 Masters, did Fred Couples’ golf ball avoid getting into trouble with Rae? When Tiger Woods won the 2000 PGA Championship, did his golf ball leap down a path? Did Tommy Fleetwood make a simulator ace by banking one off a massive boulder? All excellent responses—well, maybe the final one as much—but none of them compare to what transpired at the Mexico Open on Sunday.
When Brian Campbell played the 18th hole at Vidanta Vallarta for the second playoff hole, he cut a drive so awful that it might have gone back to the United States in addition to going OB. Fortunately, though, Campbell’s golf ball mysteriously bounced off a tree—or three—and ended up back in play. Check it out yourself.
