Latest on Cajuste and Phillips after midfield duo limp off against Spurs.
Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna has provided an update on Jens Cajuste and Kalvin Phillips, who were both forced off injured in the second half of this afternoon’s 4-1 home defeat to Tottenham. Cajuste landed awkwardly during a challenge and went slowly off the pitch in the 52nd minute, while Phillips hobbled off in the 80th. “I haven’t received a full report yet,” McKenna remarked. “Jens, I believe, went over on his ankle during the challenge, and Kalvin was calf. “That’s disappointing because I thought, first half, the two of them were outstanding to be honest.”
Cajuste was replaced by Jack Taylor, while Phillips was replaced by Sam Morsy, who had recently recovered from an abdominal ailment that had forced him to miss the draw at Aston Villa. The Blues were missing Axel Tuanzebe (suspended), Wes Burns (knee), Chiedozie Ogbene (Achilles), Julio Enciso (knee), and Conor Chaplin (knee) for this game.
