According to Calciomercato, a number of European teams are considering a summer transfer for Corinthians attacker Yuri Alberto, including Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 23-year-old striker, who ended as the joint-top scorer in the Brazilian Serie A last season, has been linked to Wolves, Inter Milan, Atalanta, Porto, and West Ham as possible suitors.
Because of their financial difficulties, Corinthians are willing to let go of Alberto this summer, and they have placed their asking price at €35 million (£29 million).
With other European and Premier League clubs interested in the Brazilian, the Sao Paulo team is expecting a bidding battle for their star player in the upcoming months.
Wolves Targeting Yuri Alberto
For the summer transfer window
Calciomercato claims that Alberto has a €100 million (£83 million) release clause in his contract, but Corinthians are open to negotiating a much lower price this summer. They may even consider an offer of about €25 million (£21 million) plus add-ons for the 23-year-old striker, who has received high praise from Brazilian legend Ronaldo after his stellar 2024 season: “A striker who, despite much criticism, played very well, was Yuri Alberto. He stepped up when Corinthians needed him most and helped the team with many goals, being one of the team’s top scorers in the competition.” The Copa Club hailed Alberto as “one of the best forwards in the world,” as he finished the 2024 season with 31 goals and seven assists in 57 appearances across all competitions.
He has scored three goals in his last two games for Corinthians to start the 2025 campaign out strong.
With numerous Premier League clubs interested in star attacker Matheus Cunha, Wolves are getting ready for a big summer transfer season.
The 25-year-old, who inked a new deal at Molineux in January, might be pursued by Manchester United and Arsenal, according to Fabrizio Romano’s exclusive GIVEMESPORT column.
