Bramble, who crossed enemy lines to play for Sunderland, won’t be remembered with much affection by those on Wearside, despite the fact that the former ten-time England U21 international would be popular with the St James’ Park faithful during his extended stay there, with former Ipswich great Sir Robby Robson even helping to oversee early development at the Magpies.
