View: 0% Aston Villa player stinks v Sheffield United, Sky Sports pundit called him ‘Foolish’

Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran slammed in Sheffield United Premier League clash

Jhon Duran, the striker for Aston Villa, was really lucky not to be sent off against Sheffield United on Friday, December 22.

The Colombian almost let Unai Emery down when he came off the bench, even though there was every indication that he should have been sent out.

The 20-year-old elbowed Jack Robinson with a blatant swing of his arm that referee Anthony Taylor was not able to see.

It was a foolish move to do at a pivotal point in the game, but the VAR looked at it for a few minutes and decided not to send Taylor to the monitor.

If he had been sent off, Villa’s prospects of tying the score in stoppage time would have been diminished, and the visitors would have easily won the three points.

David Prutton, a Sky Sports analyst, stated on the Premier League World Feed: “Very foolish of Jhon Duran.” That is violent behavior by definition. It is difficult to argue against that being a farewell.

Apart from this, the 20-year-old gave a stinking performance, and the Villa Park supporters won’t be happy.

According to Sofascore, he failed to complete even one of his attempted dribbles, with a 0 per cent accuracy.

Even more startling for the Colombian, he failed all three of his attempts in ground duels, scoring 0% accuracy in each try.

He gave up possession five times in the sixteen minutes he was on the field; if he had been there for ninety minutes, it would have been thirty times at the same pace.

Emery will speak with him either on Friday or when the players return for practice, but that conversation is unquestionably necessary since this was completely inappropriate.
