Leeds vs Cardiff City: Manager will be sacked if his team lose today

According to Football Insider, if Cardiff City fails to beat Leeds United on Saturday (September 21), manager Erol Bulut will be fired.

On the latest episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior journalist Pete O’Rourke reported that the 49-year-old has one game left to save his skin after a poor start to the season at the Championship club.

According to Football Insider (September 17), Bulut is facing dismissal due to the club’s worst start in 35 years.

The Welsh side is still hunting for their first win of the season, having lost four and drawn one of their first five Championship games.

Owner Vincent Tan may be ready to wield the axe amid fears. Bulut has lost his changing room at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Erol Bulut has one game to save his Cardiff City job.

The Turkish manager took over the team in June 2023 after spending 18 months with Super Lig side Gaziantep FK.

Cardiff fans have swiftly forgotten an outstanding pre-season in which the team defeated German side Hamburg 3-0 and drew with Hertha Berlin 1–1.

The club has only scored one goal all season, albeit a crucial one in a 1-1 tie with archrivals Swansea City.
Their next game against promotion contenders Leeds United couldn’t have come at a worse moment for Bulut, as Daniel Farke’s team looks to avenge a frustrating 1-0 loss to Burnley on Saturday (September 14).
