Bodin: “Hopefully we can make more memories”
The forward talked about his brief tenure with the Royals thus far and his goals for this team for the balance of his Berkshire loan.
I grew up in Swindon, and I know Reading well because my dad played here for a few years. It’s good to return this way, and I’ve
always respected this team, even more so now since I played against Reading in the Championship a few years ago. I’m grateful to be
here, and I hope I can support the guys as the season draws to a close and help us secure Play-Off berths.
At Burton, I had a strong start to the season—possibly the finest one I’ve ever had, to be honest. After that, I developed a little ailment
that kept me out of commission for four to five weeks, during which the manager was fired. He was honest with me and informed me
that I probably didn’t match the style he wanted to play after the manager changed. I was worried that it could be too late to arrange a
transfer, but happily, it was obvious as soon as the club expressed interest.
I remember playing in the park across the street and attending games at Elm Park when I was about five or six years old. My dad used
to tell me how huge the club was here, and then I would walk over with my mother and uncle. I have wonderful memories of this club,
and I hope to continue creating new ones while I’m here till the end of the season.
I believe one of the first things I noticed when I initially arrived and began training was that the bar is really high here. Obviously, this
is true for such a young group, so I give the boys all the credit they deserve. I certainly want to make the team, but if I don’t make the
starting lineup, I can still come on and try my hardest to support the team as much as I can.”
