The massive Orlando Pirates of the Betway Premiership made excellent use of the transfer window as usual. Here is a list of every new player.

The Orlando Pirates have been the well-known sea robbers. For the upcoming campaign, the Soweto giants have signed four new players, and the DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) team has acquired a new roster.
Four players are signed by Orlando Pirates for the first team.

A right defender, a central midfielder, a winger, and an offensive midfielder are among the newcomers.

MARCH VAN HEERDEN FUELLES HER CAREER AS A COACH

Marc Van Heerden, a former defender for the Orlando Pirates, is devoted to his coaching career.

The 36-year-old former Durban Buccaneer, who played his final season as a football player with Cape Town City last season, just earned his UEFA B Coaching License in Ireland.

Van Heerden said on his official X account, “I am honored and thrilled to announce I have successfully completed my UEFA B license through the Scottish FA.”

The former Orlando Pirates number three continued, “It takes a lot of change of perspective and understanding to go from professional playing into the coaching world.”

“Dougie Anderson, Liam Fox, Mixu Paatelainen, Callum Davidson, and Richie Wilson deserve a huge thank you for all of their advice, wisdom, and skill throughout the course. My development over the past year has been enormous.

ORLANDO PIRATES: PASEKA MAKO RETURNS

Speaking of Orlando Pirates left backs, the team has declared Paseko Mako’s return.

The 30-year-old Mako has emerged from the shadows of a knee ligament ailment since October 2023, as the Sea Robbers have confirmed.

“I can’t wait to get back on the field.” The FARPost cited Mako as saying, “The journey wasn’t easy, but I’m eager to rejoin the team and contribute to its success.”

“I’m prepared to give it my all once more; it’s time to push myself. The left-back for the Orlando Pirates said, “Thank you to everyone who helped and supported me during my recuperation.
ENTIRE STATEMENT

defender Paseka Mako has returned to training, giving the Orlando Pirates more alternatives at left-back.

The 30-year-old last played for the Buccaneers in October of last year, so he has been out of the game for a while. This comes just after making his South Africa debut in a friendly match against Eswatini and suffering a knee ligament damage while serving for his country.

“After a successful operation and subsequent therapy, Mako’s healing process has advanced significantly. After returning to light training in August, he is now cleared to begin training with his colleagues in anticipation of the Betway Premiership season.

“Makao’s return to fitness comes as a welcome boost for the Soweto Giants, who face a busy season that includes league football, domestic cup competitions, and participation in other sporting events. He adds depth and experience to the squad along with a tireless fighting spirit.”
