West Ham plot swoop to sign Brighton star Julio Enciso

According to the Spanish publication Fichajes, West Ham United is apparently planning a raid to buy Brighton & Hove Albion star Julio Enciso in the upcoming season. The Seagulls have shown themselves and have built a strong scouting network. The two South American kids that Brighton has had the most success signing are Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister. Both have left the team to join Liverpool and Chelsea, respectively, for large sums of money. Another player who has shown his abilities in the Premier League is Enciso. He joined the South Coast team a few years ago, and now, according to Filchajes, Brighton may be willing to pay for him in the summer.

After this season, the player will enter the final year of his current contract at AMEX Stadium. There’s a chance he won’t decide to extend it there, therefore Brighton will need to sell him for at least £29 million to keep him from signing a free agent contract in 2026.

Enciso to West Ham

The 20-year-old can play on the left flank in addition to being an attacking midfielder. He can link plays, dribble past opponents’ defenders in confined spaces, score goals from a distance, and thread passes between the lines with efficiency. He is an extremely gifted player. His progress has been somewhat impeded by his recent injury issues, but if he can get beyond them and sign with West Ham, he would be a fantastic acquisition in the long run. It would be interesting to watch, though, if the East London team decides in 2025 to take a more proactive stance in trying to get him to sign.
