Man Utd ‘ready’ to make statement PL attacker raid as soon as big name ‘quits’ club

According to reports, Manchester United is “confident” that Matheus Cunha will want to join them in the summer, when they will be “ready” to go for him in the event that a top attacker departs Old Trafford.

At the moment, Cunha is among the most sought-after players in the Premier League. Wolves, who are hovering just above the relegation zone, have benefited from his 16 direct goal contributions so far this season.

There is very little chance that he will stay in the Championship if they are demoted, demonstrating that he is far too talented for that. However, Wolves recently signed Cunha to a new deal, increasing his value to them for when he is sold.

Whatever happens, United has “confidence” that the Brazilian will want to join them in the summer, according to GIVEMESPORT.

In fact, they are reportedly “ready” to execute his signing as soon as Alejandro Garnacho leaves.

The Argentine, who was targeted by Chelsea and Napoli in January, is not expected to be forced out, but they will try to sign Cunha “if” Garnacho decides to “quit” Old Trafford in the summer.

Both Wolves and United have had limited offensive options this season, with Cunha demonstrating his ability to lift them out of the muck.

Although there are reportedly “doubts” about whether Garnacho belongs in Ruben Amorim’s system, Cunha is said to “have the experience and style” to stand out.

United will face competition for Cunha

Cunha, who was reportedly on the radar of Nottingham Forest and Tottenham in January, has also been linked to Arsenal and Aston Villa in recent weeks.

As a result, United won’t have it easy, but if the forward does want to transfer, United may have a chance because his contract probably contains a release clause, though it’s unclear how much worth it bears.

TEAMtalk is informed that Cunha is still a target for the Gunners and that the attacker expressed interest in joining them in January.
