Vitaliy Mykolenko update could see Sean Dyche rethink – Predicted Everton XI v Tottenham

Vitaliy Mykolenko is expected to be available for Everton’s Premier League match against Tottenham this weekend, according to Sean Dyche.

Due to injury, the Ukraine international has missed Everton’s last two games; nevertheless, he could return to the left back position in North London.

Jarrad Branthwaite’s ban for the previous week’s trip to Burnley also forced Dyche to switch to a five-man defense at Turf Moor.

That strategy was effective as Everton defeated Spurs 2-0 by surprising their opponents. However, Dyche would be inclined to start Jordan Pickford in goal and stick with a four-man defense against the Spurs.

Mykolenko and Nathan Patterson has the inherent ability to play full-back, and Branthwaite and James Tarkowski make an excellent central-defensive duo.

Due to Abdoulaye Doucoure’s injury, Dyche can choose to add an extra attacker or another pure center midfielder.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is certain to start at quarterback once more, while Dwight McNeil and Jack Harrison should hold onto their spots as wide receivers.

Beto surely has a shot of coming into the XI after scoring in the midweek cup loss to Fulham, while Arnaut Danjuma is another option for Dyche but is more likely to be used from the bench.

Idrissa Gueye and Amadou Onana are the only options left to pair James Garner in the midfield, with the latter being the most likely to start.

Tottenham is renowned for having a high line, which Dyche’s team may exploit with two quick wingers and two supporting attackers.

If so, Onana and Garner will need to be alert to prevent the defense at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium from being exposed.
