After a very difficult run of games, Wolves had a difficult start to the season but have recently found some success.
To the pleasure of fans, Wolves has now gone four games without a loss and has won consecutive Premier League games to move out of the relegation zone.
It is hoped that Wolves will get on track going forward and that a relegation struggle won’t be a concern at the end of the season.
Regardless of the club’s outcome, Wolves may have an exciting summer ahead of them, as it looks like an offer could be made for Galatasaray star Yunus Akgun.
Wolves plan to make offer for Yunus Akgun in summer 2025 transfer window
Next summer, Wolves intend to make a bid for Yunus Akgun Galatasaray, according to Takvim.
Akgun, who has recently gained popularity during loan stints with Adana Demirspor and Leicester City, has made 17 appearances this season, scoring six goals and dishing out two assists.
He has scored four of those goals in the Europa League this season, tying Olympiacos forward Ayoub El Kaabi and FC Porto’s Samu Aghehowa as the league’s top goalscorers thus far.
The Turkish sensation is reportedly being closely watched by Wolves.
Although he can play on either wing, the 24-year-old has played mostly from the left side this season. He has 14 caps for the Turkish national team.
Akgun recently made headlines after he scored an incredible volley in the Europa League match against Tottenham Hotspur. Galatasaray won the match 3-2.
Wolves could be preparing to lose Pablo Sarabia
One immediately considers Akgun as a possible Pablo Sarabia replacement because he is left-footed and can play from the right side.
The Spaniard’s contract expires in the summer, so it wouldn’t be shocking if Wolves let him go for nothing.
Sarabia is expected to finish out his contract with Wolves, therefore it was recently stated that the team is “unlikely” to let him go in January.
Sevilla is interested in Sarabia, therefore it’s unlikely that he will stay for very long.
Given his dismal start to the season, Hwang Hee-chan may be ready to move on come summertime, while Gonzalo Guedes has also been connected to Villarreal.
Thus, there may be room to add a new winger, and Wolves supporters will be hoping Akgun can perform if he signs.
