The UEFA Champions League has introduced a revamped version of its iconic anthem for the 2024/25 season.

Tony Britten first adapted the song from George Frideric Handel’s Zadok the Priest in 1992. Since then, the anthem has undergone modifications that include a modest shift in emphasis from the vocal portion to the orchestral part, as well as an increase in tempo.

Whether or not Parkhead Celtic supporters will notice the alterations is up for debate. On Champions League nights, the Celtics supporters frequently drown out the national anthem.

The start of the new Champions League season excites Celtic supporters.

After dominating at home with a perfect start, Celtic is now prepared to prove themselves on the biggest stage of Europe. The Champions League format change for this season offers the Hoops a special chance to build on their winning start and pursue a long tournament run.

With a realistic goal beyond the group stage, Brendan Rodgers has set his sights on bringing his squad to the knockout stages.

With their confidence sky high following their victories against Rangers and Slovan Bratislava, Celtic seems to have a great opportunity to begin their European season with a victory in their opening match against Slovan Bratislava.

Even though Slovan Bratislava is a new team in the Champions League group stage, they will be motivated to win, but Celtic should take advantage of their home pitch advantage and the momentum they’ve already generated.
