Brighton & Hove Albion 0-0 Ipswich Town: Fabian Huerzeler reaction.

Brighton’s manager, Fabian Huerzeler, commended the Blues for their devoted defence but stated that his team deserved to defeat Ipswich Town yesterday.

The Seagulls, who are among the top teams in the Premier League, dominated possession and had multiple excellent opportunities, but they were unable to overcome Aro Muric and the Blues.

Brighton’s record this season is still undefeated after the 0-0 stalemate at the Amex. With eight points from four games, they are ranked fourth in the early standings.

“I think my team did everything on the pitch to win this game,” Huerzeler said to the Brighton Argus.

“We were quite dominant, we counter-pressed well, we had plenty of scoring opportunities, and we played excellent defence.

Because of this, I find it frustrating, but ultimately , i will never.

“I think there are still things we can improve but we try to follow the process, we try to improve every day.”

Star forward Joao Pedro missed the game, having returned from international duty for Brazil with a little injury niggle.

But the Brighton boss acknowledged it was no justification.

He said of Pedro, “He had a little issue, we shouldn’t take any risks.”

“We would have run the danger of an injury lasting two, three, or four weeks, even though he might have played.

“It is true that Joao was absent, but we had ample opportunities to succeed without him.”

It’s a compliment to their defence strategy. They made it tough for my wingers and Mitoma.
