Yasin Özcan ‘exit on the cards already’ after Aston Villa transfer announcement.

Aston Villa, Yasin Özcan

Aston Villa was one of the Premier League’s most active clubs during the winter transfer window.

Unai Emery’s team now includes high-profile players like as Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio.

However, there was also a high-profile departure, with Jon Duran making a lucrative transfer to Al-Nassr. Overall, Emery and the club’s supporters are undoubtedly pleased with Villa’s performance.

Villa improved their present first-team options and signed Yasin Özcan from Süper Lig side Kasımpaşa S.K. on a pre-contract deal.

The 18-year-old is likely to join Villa this summer. However, Özcan has been warned that he may lose his position if he does not meet expectations.

Aston Villa to approve Yasin Özcan’s loan exit?

Ex-Villa scout Bryan King, speaking exclusively to Villa News, believes Özcan will have a lot to show when he comes in the West Midlands.

“This will be a straightforward deal with add-ons,” Mr. King added.

“I believe there could possibly be a sell-on clause. This player still has a lot to prove. He’s only 18, he’s starting at a new club, and there will be high expectations of him. If those expectations aren’t met, he’ll be sent out on loan.

“He will be examined extensively before a decision is made. If he proves to be the type of player Villa want, he will be retained at the club. However, if he does not appear to be ready to compete for a first-team spot right immediately, he will most likely be loaned out elsewhere overseas.

Aston Villa and Unai Emery thinking about the future

Özcan is 18 years old and certainly one for the future. However, Emery will be hoping that he can make some sort of impact on the first team right away. If he isn’t able to do that, a loan move would make sense.

It is clear that Emery is thinking about the future considering Villa’s recent transfer activity, which is a positive sign.

However, the club still need to ensure they have players ready to make an impact in the present.
