Devizes house fire which killed man, 77, deemed ‘non suspicious’

A Devizes house fire which killed a man has been deemed ‘non suspicious’.

The 77-year-old man died as flames ripped through a residence on Ferozeshah Road at 7 p.m. on Saturday (18 January).

Critical care medics from Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance, as well as local ambulance crews, responded to the scene, but he was pronounced dead.

The Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, which has lead the investigation into the fire, has concluded that there are “no suspicious circumstances.”

A report will be forwarded to the HM coroner, who will review the evidence and establish the cause of death.
