Ibrox squad revealed
It’s all eyes on the quarter-finals for Rangers tonight and Clement could throw a couple of curveballs into
the mix.
Rangers only need to win and advance to the Europa League quarterfinals; Philippe Clement may be
wishing he was a doctor.
After playing right-back, center-mid, and most recently, wing, Dujon Sterling was left out of their crucial
match against Benfica at Ibrox, leaving the Belgian to mop up his wounds once more. He hobbled off
against Hibs on Sunday, Ross McCausland maybe being able to start if necessary.
After Rangers’ 2-2 draw in Lisbon last week, any victory will do, and Todd Cantwell has better news.
However, Clement’s warning about his capacity to play 90 minutes suggested that Thursday night’s
match might come too soon. Prior to Benfica’s match, he stated: “Todd is clearly not ready for ninety
minutes, but he is ready to play a number of minutes as discussed with the medical staff.” He performed
well during the training, and I’m glad to have him back.
