‘TNF’ best bet: A short and sweet approach to Rams-Saints

Since today is the shortest day of the year, it is officially winter. We have a quick play for the second-to-last “Thursday Night Football” game of the 2023 season since it’s best if we are efficient.

Short and simple on the shortest day of the year

We’ll kick off Week 16 tonight with the Saints taking on the Rams, and we have a fairly straightforward theory about how this one plays out. Although both clubs are fighting for a postseason berth, it is clear that the Los Angeles Rams are producing much more thanks to their quarterback, players, and coaching staff.

Recently, Demarcus Robinson, Cooper Kupp, and Puka Nacua have all received touchdown passes from Matthew Stafford, and the defense is playing excellent football with running back Kyren Williams.

Due to injuries, Derek Carr hasn’t looked fully healthy this season, and we don’t think the Saints are a serious postseason contender.

We’ve watched these teams, and we’re riding the Rams to win tonight at home. To bring down the juice, we’ll tack on running back Williams to notch 70+ rushing yards. That shouldn’t be an issue, considering New Orleans is allowing the 12th-most yards per game to RBs and the sixth-most yards per rush.

Williams is averaging 131 yards per game over his past five, the man is just rolling. He should be a big reason why Los Angeles takes this one and advances to 8-7.

Betting: Rams moneyline & Kyren Williams over 69.5 rushing yards (+100 DraftKings)

Elsewhere, Dylan Raiola, a five-star quarterback prospect who had been linked to Georgia, was signed by Nebraska, making the greatest splash of the early signing period.
