Lyall Cameron propels Dundee through the Scottish Cup.
Dundee manager Tony Docherty has stated that Lyall Cameron is dedicated to the Dens Park cause until the conclusion of the season.
Dundee fans have criticized Cameron’s plan to relocate to Ibrox, prompting these remarks.
But Lyall Cameron silenced the doubters with a key contribution in Dundee’s 4-0 triumph against Airdrie at Dens Park.
Lyall Cameron’s swerving corner gave Dundee the lead, with the midfielder’s cross reaching Clark Robertson’s head after 13 minutes.
Cameron then found himself free in the Dundee area, where he scored a deflected second goal from a sloppy back ball to the Airdrie goalie.
Lyall Cameron was involved again in the build-up as Oluwaseun Adewumi scored his third goal with a crisp finish into the lower corner of the Airdrie net.
The Rangers-bound midfielder scored twice to lead Dundee 4-0 at halftime, earning MOTM honors.
Cameron led a relentless Dundee push, which culminated in Airdrie giving them the ball and Simon Murray passing to the Scotland U21 international on the stroke of half-time.
Lyall Cameron ‘100% committed’ to Dundee
Lyall Cameron says that his Scottish Cup double demonstrates his entire commitment to Dundee until the conclusion of the season.
Cameron, who came through the youth levels at Dens Park, will remain a major member of the Dees until he joins Rangers this summer.
“Obviously there is a lot of speculation about what happened,” Cameron told DeeTV.
“But I simply wanted to show everyone that I am fully dedicated from now until the end of the season.
“Because I’m not the sort of person who will quit up or slack off at the conclusion of the season.
“That’s not the type of person I am so I am just going to keep giving as best I can and hopefully help the club go as far as possible.”
