When will the 2025 Lynn Mart be happening in King’s Lynn?
In a Norfolk town, thrill-seekers are expected to throng to a centuries-old fair.
Next week, the Mart will set up shop in King’s Lynn, bringing rides to the Tuesday Market.
The fair will open on Friday, Valentine’s Day, as usual, and run through Saturday, February 22.
All rides (save for the dodgems, bomber ride, and bungee trampolines) will cost £1.50 on Monday, February 17, which is Children’s Day.
King Henry VIII gave the Mart, which had been established over 800 years prior, a Royal Charter in 1537.
Fairground family, many of whom have been employed at the Mart for generations, begin their travelling season with the fair.
The term “Mart weather” refers to the February cold snap, when rides are frequently set up in the snow, as locally known.
