Jacob Wright: ‘He was a player who we’ve loved for a long time. It was obvious for us to investigate whether there was a chance. It wasn’t always so realistic. Then it became a possibility for us at the conclusion of the window: a loan with the option to purchase. We recognized an opening and seized it.

Thorup confirmed that Wright is ready to leave tomorrow. Probably not as a starter, but most certainly on the roster. ‘Fit, in good form, and has trained with Manchester City all season’.

🤝 Regarding McConville, “The first thing that stood out was his character.” Then he’s a ball-playing defender. He is a suitable size for a centre back in the Championship. His first six months will be spent studying the Championship and determining where he fits in. He is a player for the future, but he will earn minutes. We now have the ability to pick and de-select players for the first time this season. If you train and perform well, you will be able to play. There is a chance he will play. It is safe to state that our CBs are doing well. “We enjoy competition in training.”

👶On trusting youth: “Young players are hungry.” They like to learn rapidly. On their first days here, they requested that I give them a presentation about how we play to help them. We are still striving for balance, and we need Kenny McLeans, Shane Duffys, and Angus Gunns out there to share their wisdom on the pitch.

🇨🇿 Jurasek is in the building presently. It isn’t ideal to go two or three weeks without a football squad. We tried not to put too much pressure on him in the beginning. This is a difficult league to break into. We all know he’s a good player. We’re not sure if it’ll take one month or six months. We will endeavor to include him into the team as soon as feasible. It may be tomorrow. This is a critical step. We will not put too much pressure on him. He is an excellent player.
