STENEVIK: POSITIVE PERFORMANCES MUST TURN INTO WINS

Elise Stenevik voiced her deep disappointment after Everton lost 1-0 to Chelsea in the Women’s FA Cup quarterfinals.

Brian Sorensen’s Blues played admirably against Emma Hayes’ side and were certainly the better team throughout the contest.

Stenevik, the hosts’ defender, came closest to taking the lead when her free shot hit the crossbar.

Chelsea’s winner came moments after Stenevik’s set-piece, when second-half substitute Catarina Macario shot past Courtney Brosnan.
