West Brom set to face summer transfer issue as Everton and Brighton plan ahead

West Brom set to face summer transfer issue as Everton and Brighton plan ahead.

Everton are set to join Brighton in their pursuit of West Brom’s Tom Fellows during the summer transfer window.

Over the last two years, the 21-year-old has been an important player for Albion. This season, he has 10 assists in the Championship.

Fellows’ productivity, quickness, and direct manner have sparked interest. Everton reportedly rejected a £15 million offer for the Albion academy graduate on deadline day.

Brighton and Everton are following West Brom’s Tom Fellows.

Obviously, a deal did not materialise, therefore Fellows will end the season at The Hawthorns, hoping to assist Tony Mowbray’s team return to the Premier League.

Albion may struggle to keep Fellows in the summer due to interest from Everton and Brighton, according to TEAMtalk.

According to the update, Goodison Park is undergoing a big revamp, with Fellows being a potential addition. Brighton is also’very interested’ in the Baggies player.

Tom Fellows has the talent to play in the premier league.

Fellows is one of the Championship’s outstanding young players, and he’s adding end product to his game, as seen by the fact that he has the most assists in the division.

Albion deserves kudos for keeping Fellows for the balance of the season, since he is crucial to the team’s hopes of finishing in the top six.

Clearly, Fellows’ status beyond this season will be heavily determined by which league the Baggies are in.

If they rise, it would be quite surprising if Fellows departed, considering he is under contract until the summer of 2027. Although he has the potential to play at the top level, another year in the Championship may provide a challenge for West Brom.

The fact is that if serious Premier League interest surfaces, all second-tier teams will struggle to maintain their finest players, therefore if Albion do not gain promotion, a summer move may be in the cards.

Championship Table (as of 4/2/25)
Team P GD Pts
5 Blackburn Rovers 30 5 45
6 West Brom 30 12 44
7 Middlesbrough 30 10 44
8 Norwich City 30 7 42

In that case, his sale would provide Mowbray with the finances he requires to rebuild, but Albion would prefer to build around players like Fellows for the foreseeable future.

Fellows and Albion are now focused on achieving promotion this season, but will keep an eye on it when the next window opens.
