Celtic fans told what UEFA will do if they get punished again post-Bayern Munich ban threat

The gloomy UEFA cloud still hangs over Celtic’s head.

Brendan Rodgers hopes to get travelling fans into the Allianz Arena for the second leg of Celtic’s Champions League play-off against Bayern Munich on Tuesday, February 18.

For the first leg, the most significant individuals will be the fans inside Parkhead, since the rest of the world will see and understand what it’s like to be under the lights on a European night in Glasgow.

Celtic have a chance to cause an upset against a revived Vincent Kompany side.

Celtic’s use of pyrotechnics against Aston Villa has resulted in a UEFA charge, perhaps leading to a ban for away fans.

This isn’t the first time Celtic has been into trouble with UEFA, and while no official call has been made, a ban is on the way, which is a heartbreaking travesty for the vast majority of the travelling supporters.

Celtic’s Bayern away trip ban threat should serve as a wake-up call; the next ban will be worse.

You’re hoping this is a warning and a harsh reality check for the small proportion of people who breach these guidelines. Whether or not you agree with the pyrotechnics laws, the fact remains that they exist.

If Celtic is barred from travelling to Germany and further offences are committed, those at UEFA headquarters will only get more stringent.

Celtic’s statement about Champions League trip to Allianz Arena

Because the first leg versus Bayern Munich is quickly approaching, you expect an official announcement to be made soon.

Furthermore, if UEFA does not prohibit travelling supporters, away tickets must be distributed so that fans may prepare ahead for their journey to Germany.

Celtic issued a comment on the incident, stating that they had not been told about away tickets.

“Please be aware that, contrary to media reports regarding Celtic’s upcoming match against Bayern Munich in Germany, Celtic Football Club has not yet been informed of any timescale for making a decision on away tickets,” a club statement read.
