More Than 45 Firefighters Tackle Large Blaze as Fire Rips Through Three-Storey Flat in Walsall
Walsall, UK – A significant fire broke out in a three-storey block of flats on Stafford Street in Walsall early on. The blaze, which affected the second floor and roof of the building, prompted a substantial emergency response.
The West Midlands Fire Service dispatched eight fire engines and a crew of 45 firefighters to the scene at approximately 04:50 BST. Firefighters worked diligently to control the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent structures. Two individuals were rescued from the building and transported to Walsall Manor Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation; their current condition remains undisclosed.
Following a thorough investigation, fire officials determined that the blaze was accidental, caused by an electrical malfunction.
