Nottingham Forest ‘eyeing’ transfer opportunity amid contract stand-off

Nottingham Forest are said to be keeping tabs on Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta as they look ahead to

the summer transfer window. The winter deadline may have only just passed but the Reds will already have one

eye on potential business for the end of the season. By then, they will hope to be planning for European football as

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side continue to hold their own at the top end of the Premier League table. Recruiting a

forward has been on the agenda for Forest for the past two windows. A number of prospective targets have been

looked at, with Brentford’s Yoane Wissa the subject of an unsuccessful bid in January.
