‘I think yes’ – BBC pundit shares Everton relegation prediction after what happened on Saturday

Everton are in danger of being relegated from the Premier League because they are not scoring goals.

This is according to Rachel Brown-Finnis, a pundit for BBC Sport. Following Luton Town’s draw with Crystal Palace, the former England women’s goalkeeper shared her thoughts.

In Saturday’s 1-1 draw with the Eagles, Cauley Woodrow scored the Hatters’ equaliser in the 96th minute (9 March).

Brown-Finnis responded, “I think yes,” when asked if Luton could make it through the drop this season on BBC Final Score (March 9). They’re scoring goals above Sheffield United, Burnley, and possibly even Everton and Nottingham Forest. Everton and Forest aren’t scoring goals.

Over the past few seasons, the Toffees have been on the verge of being relegated to the Championship, but they have consistently avoided the drop.

However, they are engaged in a fight at the bottom once more, with the Toffees presently occupying 16th position in the standings.

After losing 2-0 to Manchester United on Saturday, Everton is still in danger of dropping out, sitting only four points off of the bottom three.

With their current charge in the Premier League, Sean Dyche’s team could naturally lose some of their current point total of 25.

Although both of those teams still have a game in hand over the Toffees, Nottingham Forest is one point and one position below them, with Luton in 18th place with 21 points.

With Sheffield United and Burnley sitting in 19th and 20th place, respectively, significantly off the pace and headed for the drop, it appears inevitable that there will only be one relegation berth between those two teams.
