Nuno addresses Brazil speculation with exciting Nottingham Forest prediction

Latest Nottingham Forest news as Reds head coach Nuno Espirito Santo discusses Brazilian defender Murillo

Nuno Espirito Santo, the head coach, is confident that Murillo, the defender for Nottingham Forest, has a lot more to give.

With 25 appearances in the Garibaldi, the Brazilian is now a constant in the starting lineup. It’s easy to forget that, even in English football, he still lacks considerable first-team experience.

When the 21-year-old signed a contract at the City Ground last summer, he had only made a few appearances for Corinthians. He made an immediate impression after breaking into the side. Nuno thinks the centre back has a promising future ahead of him, despite the fact that he still needs to improve in certain areas of his game.

“The surprise was pleasant. Regarding working with Murillo, the Reds boss admitted, “I didn’t know him very well.” However, since we’ve begun working together, his quality has impressed me.

He still needs to work on a lot of technicalities, but overall he did a great job, and I believe he has all the makings of an even greater performer.

“He is quick, adept with the ball, and a strong defender. He’s doing incredibly well.

Murillo was mentioned as a possible call-up to the Brazil national team for their impending friendly against Spain and England. But when the team was announced last week, he was left off of it.

Before today’s match against Brighton & Hove Albion, Nuno responded to a question on whether the young player should be given a cap by saying, “Come on, the best thing we can do for Murillo is for everybody to keep our feet on the ground.” We must acknowledge that he is a 21-year-old who has travelled to a new nation and faced new challenges.

He is making great progress, but there is still much room for improvement, and it is encouraging that he is dedicated to doing so. He’s an extremely professional player, a really kind man, and a nice boy.”
