‘Aggressive’… Anthony Gordon claims Everton supporters forced him to do something he was uncomfortable with.

Anthony Gordon’s departure from Everton left everyone disappointed.

The 23-year-old’s departure was far from ideal, with the winger reportedly seeking a transfer to the North East.

However, there is likely an agreement that the transfer was best for everybody involved, particularly given troubles that occurred with the crowd towards the conclusion of this Goodison Park stint.

In a recent interview with Craig Hope of The Daily Mail, the winger stated that the “scouse environment” made him feel the need to be a “antagonist”.

Anthony Gordon makes a ‘aggressive’ Everton claim.

Gordon described Everton’s Scouse atmosphere as hostile. When teams came to Goodison, I felt compelled to play the opponent.”

The 23-year-old believes his relocation to St James’ Park has given him with greater security.

He went on to say, “I feel more secure in myself now that I’ve matured into the person I want to be. “I’m more focused on changing that perception because I believe I’m in a position to do so.”

Gordon makes strong allegations.

The Newcastle United winger has made some strong allegations, and some of his remarks may be used to justify his actions.

He’s always been a divisive guy, and he shouldn’t blame Evertonians for it.

The relocation has gone nicely. He enjoys football and hopes to start for England in the European Championships this summer.

Everton secured a significant transfer sum and offloaded a player who did not want to stay.
