Jeffery Schlupp thinks he is ready to accomplish his aspirations after securing loan-deal to Celtic from Crystal Palace till the end of the season

The versatile 32 year-old signed for the Scottish champions on transfer deadline day from English Premier League side Crystal Palace.

A important member of Leicester’s title winning team

Making his way through the ranks at Leicester City, the former Ghanaian internationalist notched up 150 games with the Foxes and was a crucial squad member of Claudio Ranieri’s notorious title winning 2015/2016 squad. Schlupp then transferred to the Eagles in 2017 and featured approximately 250 times for Palace in eight years. He has also made 20 appearances for his country.

Speaking in his first interview since joining the Hoops, Schlupp told Celtic TV he cannot wait to get started: “I’m super excited. It’s actually been one of my dreams, as much as many others, to play for such a renowned club like Celtic.”

‘The atmosphere, the spectators and the stadium’

“So as soon as the opportunity came up, I was really excited about it. Everyone constantly speaks about the experience of playing at Celtic, the atmosphere, the supporters and the stadium as you’re driving up to it. It’s one of those things that everyone always wants to do,” Jeffrey Schlupp said.

‘I’m comfortable playing anywhere’

The former English Premier League winner added: Throughout my career I think I’ve played everywhere except from goalie to be honest. But for the primary part, I’ve been left-sided, whether that’s left-midfield, the left side of midfield three, I’ve played in a pivot previously, and obviously I’ve had a lot of games played at left-back as well.”

“Anywhere along the left I’ve always found really comfortable. I’ve played several games at left-back and in a front three on the left-side and right-side. I’m comfortable playing wherever, so simply wherever the manager would like me to play I’ll do that and hopefully I can do a fantastic job for the team.”
