During the transfer window, Vitor Pereira made a demand for a new midfield player, and Wolves made sure the

manager’s wish was fulfilled.

After Wolves acquired Emmanuel Agbadou from Ligue 1 team Stade Reims, Munetsi signed a three-and-a-half-

year contract to finalize his move.

Given that Munetsi arrived late to bolster the team after Wolves missed out on target Manu Silva earlier in the

transfer window, it’s a major addition for the Old Gold.

Despite the late announcement of the midfielder’s acquisition, supporters anticipated the deal because Wolves and

Reims had reached an agreement for Munetsi the morning of the deadline.

Given that the 28-year-old was compared to Yaya Toure—no pressure—it’s safe to conclude that Wolves

supporters were pleased with the signing of Munetsi.

Given that Mario Lemina’s transfer to Galatasaray is practically finalized, supporters will be overjoyed that Pereira

received the midfield player he so desperately desired.

In addition to the manager and supporters, Jeff Shi was thrilled about the purchase, as the club chairman

disclosed the behind-the-scenes activities that went on to finalize the deal.

Shi stated on Wolves’ official website, “Our staff traveled to France to ensure this deal was done on deadline day.”

“We’re happy to have an experienced player join the team at a crucial point in the season, and it was significant for

the club.”

Although Shi isn’t particularly admired by Wolves fans, the team’s efforts to sign Munetsi will be warmly

appreciated and, to be honest, a welcome change from previous windows.

Shi went on, “We’re thrilled to have Marshall on board, and I hope he can help us achieve our goals.”

“We at Compton Park will be there for him no matter what, and I hope he has a long and prosperous career with

the Wolves.”

Both Wolves’ acquisition of Munetsi and the player’s path to the Premier League have been quite the journeys.

The 28-year-old only began performing in Europe in 2019, having honed his skills in South Africa beforehand.

Mutetsi shared what it means to be a Wolves player after arriving at Molineux.

The midfield player stated that he was “extremely thrilled” to finalize his move and that he anticipates feeling

“even more at home” than he did in France.

“I’m thrilled. I think this will be my first significant opportunity to represent a larger club. I have nothing against

Reims, but you will now play for Wolves in the Premier League.

Additionally, there are more Zimbabweans in England than in France, so I believe I will feel much more at home

there.

Munetsi, who made 21 appearances for Reims in 2024–2025, might make his FA Cup debut if he arrives fit.
