Norwich City transfer news: Jacob Wright on loan arrival

Jacob Wright, a newcomer to Norwich City, claims that Carrow Road is the ideal next step for him for several reasons.

Wright moved to Norfolk on a contract that could become permanent if the Canaries exercise their option in the summer after completing an initial loan switch from Manchester City in a late transfer deadline day deal.

Numerous factors persuaded the 19-year-old to join Norwich, and he believes he will fit right in with head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup’s plan.

“It was an eventful one, a stressful one, but I’m really happy to be here, really happy to get everything over the line in time,” he stated.

“I am eager to begin training and the upcoming games, which will come quickly.

“My family and I had a conversation about it. We researched them and watched a lot of footage.

We observed their preferred playing style, the manager, and the football style. This is a youthful team with some experience.

“I believe I’ll blend in perfectly. It fits my style of play, and they produce players who become professionals and go on to achieve great things.

I hope this is the right step for me because that’s what I want to be—I want to figure out how to play the game.”

Two of Wright’s former teammates will be in the Norwich dressing room, providing him with familiar faces to rely on as he gets to know the team.

He added, “I spoke to Callum (Doyle) a little bit,” in an interview with the club’s official channels.

“We grew up together, and when we were younger, we actually moved from Liverpool to City at the same time.

I’m excited to see him because we’ve undoubtedly known each other for a while.

“I’ve played internationally with Kellen Fisher, so I know him too. Catching up with him and getting to know some of the other guys will be beneficial.
