Manchester United is interested in star defender Jarrad Branthwaite, but Everton manager Sean Dyche has stated that his team has no intention of selling him.
It’s believed that Sir Jim Ratcliffe wants to bolster his center-back corps in time for the summer transfer window.
Multiple backline injuries this season have kept the Red Devils from establishing a reliable run of performances and outcomes.
Players like Tyrell Malacia, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are now out due to various physical ailments.
The only United defender who hasn’t sustained an injury this season is Diogo Dalot.
Already, Leny Yoro, Antonio Silva, Goncalo Inacio, Edmond Tapsoba, Marc Guehi, and of course Branthwaite have all been connected to United.
According to a recent report that The Peoples Person published, Everton has found a replacement in Dan Ballard of Sunderland. It appears that Everton is aware of the growing interest that larger teams are showing in their player.
Sean Dyche, the manager of the Merseyside team, claims that the Toffees intend to hang onto Branthwaite.
Before Saturday’s match between Everton and United at Old Trafford, Dyche stated, “We don’t want to sell any good players.” That’s all there is to it, and he has shown himself to be an excellent player. Selling players is not our line of business.
“Players are only sold when necessary or when an issue arises. Since there isn’t a problem, my only wish is that we won’t have to sell players. We certainly don’t right now, so we’ll see.
Dyche said that from the moment he watched Branthwaite perform, he knew he was unique.
“I liked what I saw of him.” I thought, “Go on then, go and enjoy it, go and have a go,” when the time was perfect. I could have just gone to play without having to say anything to him.
He’s adjusted quite nicely. He still has to work on a few things, but you can’t just throw everything at a player and call it done; you have to work with them gradually.As a result, even though he is learning and developing well, there are mo
ments when it is difficult to provide no coaching at all—instead just stepping back and telling him to “keep doing what you’re doing.” While I don’t break down every game and tell players “you have to do this, you have to do that,” there are occasionally small teams that require tactical pointers. Allow him to learn on his own as he grows.
Michael Keane and James Tarkowski, two of Branthwaite’s more seasoned players, have been teaching him things, according to Dyche.
The Mirror reports that despite everything, United “feel Branthwaite could have a bright future” at the team.
Because of Everton’s perilous position in relation to the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules, it is thought that the 20-time English champions “feel they can sign” the 21-year-old this summer.
