Tyler Bindon of New Zealand has joined fellow All Whites Chris Wood and Marko Stamenic on the books of Nottingham Forest, an English Premier League team.

Bindon (20) signed from League One club Reading on transfer deadline day in the United Kingdom and was promptly loaned back to the club until the end of the season.

New Zealand captain Wood (33) just signed a two-year contract extension with Forest.

Bindon has now made over 70 Reading appearances, and according to media sources, his development is being monitored by English Premier League clubs Arsenal and Leicester City, as well as English Championship clubs Blackburn Rovers, Watford, Hull City, and Coventry City.

His contract had less than six months left, and Reading were reportedly under financial pressure to entertain bids for Bindon and other form players before the transfer market closed on Tuesday, February 4 (NZT).

In New Zealand, he is a nominee for the 2025 Emerging Talent Halberg Award and a strong contender for a spot on the New Zealand squad that will compete for qualifying to the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup.

NZ Football’s media team created a six-minute film highlighting his tale.
