Burton’s Bodin Becomes a Royal
After being promoted to the Championship the previous season, the 32-year-old has demonstrated his ability at this level and will be available for selection before this weekend’s trip to Huddersfield.
Since joining the Brewers in the summer, Bodin has contributed to the team this season, scoring four goals in just seven league appearances.
After graduating from Swindon Town’s academy, Bodin made his debut for the Robins in 2010 and later played for Oxford United, Preston North End, and Bristol Rovers. He adds significant experience and an attacking threat to the team with 260 league matches and 73 goals to his name.
Billy is the son of former Royal Paul Bodin, who played 41 games for the team from 1996 to 1998. Some Royals supporters may recognize the name Bodin.
Noel Hunt, the reading manager, said he was thrilled about the addition:
“Having Billy join the team for the remainder of the season makes me very happy. He is a seasoned player who has demonstrated his abilities over the years and is well-versed in this league.
He will provide us with an additional offensive option, and the squad will truly benefit from his work ethic, inventiveness, and goal-scoring ability. We are excited to collaborate with him.
Billy is a great addition, and we hope to see him in blue and white soon!
