Even though Everton had a brief victory late in the previous month, their financial situation is far from ideal.

Football financial specialist Dr. Rob Wilson provided his assessment on Nottingham Forest and the Toffees’ predicament, which appears to continue well into the season, in an interview with iNews.
Though a heavier punishment is anticipated for the former, Wilson disputes this idea, saying, “I don’t think it will be bigger than what Everton’s was, I think it’ll be more like half.” They should get three or four points, in my opinion.
“The Brennan Johnson case will serve as mitigation, just as Everton was able to demonstrate that their large net expenditure in prior years was the reason for their low net spend in recent years.”
Wilson criticised the idea of a monetary fine as well, saying, “The critics will point to the fact they stayed up last season because they breached PSR.”
“The same could be said for Everton, which is why I believe they will receive a point penalty; however, mitigation will work in their favour, especially now that Everton has established a six-point benchmark.”
The Premier League is still on a warpath.
It appears the Premier League has already turned its attention to Leicester City, who are undoubtedly going to make a return at the earliest opportunity, demonstrating that they are not content to simply attack teams that are already in the division.
It is hardly surprising that they jumped out to a sizable lead atop the Championship table, given they are the team with the greatest players in the division.
They have been trimmed after a bad run of results, but they are still in the lead and don’t appear to be going down anytime soon.
However, their triumph might not last long because the EFL appears to have plans to punish them similarly to how they have treated Everton and Forest.
It appears that the Premier League is truly so desperate to stop ambition and advancement that it has gone below its own level. If the Foxes are promoted, they will have to have a fire sale in order to escape an FFP and PSR nightmare.
