Community ‘Shocked’ After Two People Die in ‘Unexplained’ Stoke Flat Blaze
Residents of Stoke Aldermoor have been left devastated after a tragic fire claimed the lives of two people in a flat on The Coppice. Emergency services were called to the scene, but despite their efforts, both victims were pronounced dead. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and an investigation is underway.
Local residents expressed their disbelief at the tragedy. One neighbour, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “I just can’t believe it. This is such a quiet area, and to hear that two people have died is heartbreaking.” Another resident, Lisa Carter, added: “I woke up to sirens and smoke. It’s terrifying to think this has happened so close to home.”
West Midlands Fire Service, police, and paramedics responded swiftly to the incident. Firefighters worked to control the blaze while police sealed off the area. Authorities have confirmed that the fire is currently being treated as “unexplained,” and a full investigation is ongoing.
