Dundee footballer left in wheelchair after crash inspires £100k Perth community hub campaign
The Power of Five commercial, which begins on Wednesday, is based on the tale of how Ross Edwards’ career was cut short by a horrible vehicle collision.
Raising £100,000 is its goal in order to build a new £28 million center at Bertha Park.
Ross suffered severe short-term memory impairment, irreversible brain injury, and severe speech issues as a result of the incident.
He gets full-time specialized care and needs an electric wheelchair.
Along with 40 daytime service users and 60 additional residents of Capability Scotland’s Upper Springfield facility, the hub and service will assist in meeting Ross’s continuing needs.
“Our campaign asks communities across Scotland to come together and make the dream of a world-class care facility for disabled individuals like Ross a reality,” stated Ailsa Wallace, head of fundraising for Capability Scotland.
