What to expect from Burnley’s transfer deadline day as winger closes in on Turf Moor switch

Burnley has until 11pm tonight to finalise their transfer business.

Scott Parker stated that Koleosho had a knock during training, leading to today’s draw at Fratton Park.

Brownhill, meanwhile, was ruled out of selection after suffering a knock late in Burnley’s 0-0 draw with Leeds United on Monday night.

“Both are injured,” Parker stated.

“Luca received a knock in training yesterday and was unable to travel today.

“Browny picked up that knock in the game [against Leeds], that’s why he came off the other night and he was nearly there for this game, but it wasn’t quite right.”

Burnley was rumoured to be interested in signing Sporting winger Marcus Edwards, which dominated the pre-game debate.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the Clarets are close to concluding an initial loan deal for the 26-year-old.
When asked about the speculation following the game, Parker, as he always does, chose to play straight bat.”Again, I’m always consistent, I never mention names really,” stated the man.

“As I just said it there, in these four weeks, we’ve had names mentioned that I’ve never heard of, I’ve never spoken to and at this present time, until players are assigned, then that’s all I can give you.”
