Bournemouth hold talks to land striker in last minutes of transfer window

With Evanilson and Enes Unal both out injured, Bournemouth are considering a last minute move for an attacker to spearhead his team’s attack for the second part of the season.

Despite the injuries, Bournemouth have handled the absence of their forwards admirably, as evidenced by their league position.

They are seventh and have been one of the season’s surprise packages, with Nottingham Forest.

Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato reports that FC Lorient and Premier League team AFC Bournemouth are discussing the transfer of talented young player Eli Junior Kroupi.

The 18-year-old has had an outstanding season in France’s second tier, scoring nine goals and providing two assists in 18 games.

Lorient is Bournemouth’s sister club; both are owned by American billionaire Bill Foley.

Chelsea, Tottenham, and RB Leipzig have all expressed interest in signing the teenager, who is considered one of France’s top young talents at the time.

His performances have propelled Lorient to the top of the Ligue 2 standings, and they are expecting to be promoted to the top level immediately after being demoted.

The attacker has entered the final 18 months of his deal with the club, and clubs have begun to take notice of his contractual predicament.

Lorient would like to keep the player at the club right now, with promotion to the top flight being their goal.

With some of England’s top clubs interested in signing the player, Bournemouth will face stiff competition to win the race.

TBR Football reports that Graham Potter’s West Ham United have also made contact to sign the midfielder, but no progress has been made in terms of a move to the Premier League.
