Kemar Roofe offers a slideshow of Rangers penalty claims, letting the images speak for themselves.

To underscore his point without drawing ire, the Jamaican posted a number of pictures from Motherwell’s loss without offering any commentary.

While most of the fuss over penalties occurred at Tynecastle, Mar Roofe is left wondering why he didn’t receive one at Ibrox on Saturday.

Philippe Clement lost his first home game as the Light Blues’ manager as Rangers fell to Motherwell 2-1. Despite the hotly contested sending off and too-commonly-accepted’soft’ penalties, Celtic was unable to capitalise, losing 2-0 to Hearts on Sunday. Although Yang was given a red card, which Celtic has appealed, Brendan Rodgers may face consequences for doubting John Beaton’s ability.

Roofe’s strategy has been more nuanced. Dan Casey had led the Steelmen ahead, and the Gers hitman was brought on to try and earn a point for the league leaders. After a second look at the video, referee Alan Muir awarded the hosts a spot-kick to even the score after Stephen O’Donnell had previously brought down Fabio Silva in the area. James Tavernier scored.

Although the opportunity had already largely passed, it looked as though defender Paul McGinn was trying to gain a foothold on the ball before the Jamaican was able to get free. But play continued on, with neither Muir nor his colleagues in the VAR room noticing anything suspicious.

Evidently, Roofe believes they ought to have. However, Roofe has taken to Instagram to provide a series of five photographs that, as they proceed, offer a slideshow-like reel of the occurrence, which he shows without commenting on. This is preferable to him letting rip and risking punishment.
